Nokia Makes Walk & Drive Navigation Free On Its Smartphones, Doubling Size Of Mobile Navigation Market



Nokia has today announced plans to release a new version of Ovi Maps for its smartphones that includes high-end walk and drive navigation at no extra cost, available for download at www.nokia.com/maps.

This move has the potential to nearly double the size of the current mobile navigation market.

The new version of Ovi Maps includes high-end car and pedestrian navigation features, such as turn-by-turn voice guidance for 74 countries, in 46languages, and traffic information for more than 10 countries, as well asdetailed ma... .. .

Resco Photo Viewer for Symbian OS is a great assistant in handling all of your photos on the phone. Use it to view, organize and share images and to give attractive presentations. Fast and high quality preview, faxes, gif animations, intelligent slideshow. Color editing and all standard image functions are included. The application is now fully touch optimized on all touch-screen devices.

New Features in version 6.00

* Fully Touch-Optimized
The application is now fully touch optimized for Symbian devices with touch-screen technology. Additional buttons support the touch-handling (zoom with interactive zoom slider, send, color adjustment, delete, crop, slideshow, rotation and navigation buttons). For non touch-screen devices these buttons are not visible.

* Interactive Work with Slideshow
Users gain ability to move to the next image or set parameters such as music volume or slideshow speed during the slideshow itself.

* Gesture for Navigation between Images
Drag an image horizontally more than half of the screen to switch to the next/previous image. A transition effect appears.

* New Crop Tools — 2 new crop options – crop to screen & save screen.

Resco, one of the leading mobile software developers officially announced the release of Resco Photo Viewer 6.00, new version of the most popular photo viewer on Symbian OS market. Except for the traditional sources users will be able to find it also on Nokia Ovi Store. This global store allows them to download and buy applications comfortably on their phone.
