Yet another exceedingly busy day for Nokia’s Software team brings the major firmware update for company’s bestselling fulltouch screen Smartphone!

The new firmware is meant to provide further performance improvements and new functionalities to the handset, and it is already available for download on the Nokia Software Update website, and hopefully it will be soon available as FOTA update as well.

Firmware version v40.0.5 is meant to enhance the overall user experience and among the improvements that it is able to provide to those who own Nokia’s first touchscreen device is addition of the long awaited kinetic scrolling as well as greatly impr... .. .

You can update your Nokia 5800XM to the new firmware v40.0.5 by OTA (Over The Air) method(*#0000#) , or through Nokia’s Software Updater on your PC.

Nokia 5800XM does support UDP , but everyone would recommend you to take a backup of ur phone’s data. Enjoy
